Sin is beneath you!

I am convinced that the vast majority of the sin we allow in our lives is simply because we don't value ourselves enough. We don't think of ourselves as being above sin. As too good for sin. Now please don't misunderstand what I am trying so hard to say. There is one illustration I can think of that illustrates the point. Think of teenage girls for example, some of these girls in a possible effort to feel loved or for what ever reason allow boys to use them for their own pleasures. While some teenage girls know better and don't feel the need for meaningless encounters. You see those girls have the belief they are worth more than a one night stand (and they are, they all are) because of the value they place on themselves they won't let some jerk have an opportunity to ruin their lives no, no their life is much to precious for them to allow that. And so it is with sin and our lives. We need to recognize and realize that our lives are just too important and too valuable to allow sin to creep in and take our dreams and hopes with it. I was thinking just this morning how when Adam sinned it made his work become burdensome where as before it had been sweet. Do you ever feel like your working really hard but not getting anywhere? Could the reason be secret sin? The life God wants for you is so grand and so exalted that if you knew the magnitude of it you would value yourself far too much to allow sin to ruin it for you.
